Leverage AI

How Can Your Business Leverage AI for Marketing

Hey, I’ve mentioned this in previous blogs, but my experience growing up on AI was as much as watching the film ‘War Games’ or ‘Star Fighter’. All films came via video tapes and music was still on cassette. I remember trying to record songs from the top 40 on my cassette player in between the talking. Oh the times. AI was the furthest from my mind and we never had to worry about how to leverage AI in our businesses.

Now, fast forward to the present, where we find ourselves immersed in a world where technology has evolved beyond our wildest imaginations. No not the Minority Report, where not there yet, but the digital landscape has changed as AI ingrains itself in our everyday work.

AI has come a long way since the ’80s. It’s not just about avoiding nuclear war or playing tic-tac-toe against a computer anymore (War Games flashback for anyone old enough). AI has become an indispensable tool for businesses, especially in marketing. But we have to be careful. Too much AI and Google will hate you, and you’ll soon find yourself at the sharp end of no optimisation. Use it carefully and wisely; the digital world is your metaphorical oyster.

So, in this blog post, let’s dive into the exciting realm of AI and explore how your business can leverage its power to supercharge your marketing efforts.

But before we embark on this journey, lif you do want to catch the video that runs through what we’re discussing in this blog.

Exploring AI-Powered Marketing Tools and Platforms

AI-Powered Content Generation: Chat GPT

Up until the end of 2022, Ai was still something we knew was coming and discussed a lot, but we kind of thought it was more of a future me problem. Some applications claimed to have Ai capabilities, but we knew they were pushing the limits of what might be possible. That was until ChatGPT dropped just before Christmas in 2022.

Boom! AI was here. And it delivered. Open AI came to the market with Chat GPT 3.5, before launching Chat GPT 4 in 2023. Business raced to leverage AI.

So what makes it great?

Just like its name suggests, Chat GPT is designed with AI and it’s aim is to utilise all the information it has immersed over the last several years of development and communicate it back to you in the way you ask. It can simulate all the information and find the bits you want, and construct the sentence or code you need; And it think that’s important to know. It’s not just about text, about chatting, it can also deliver code, PHP, HTML, and any code that you need. It can design programs, software, apps and so much more.

What is Chat GPT

Chat GPT does this by utilising advanced language models and natural language processing to understand user inputs and generate contextually relevant responses. Look, if you’re confused, don’t worry, i don’t understand it either. So, whether it’s creating blog posts, social media captions, or email newsletters, Chat GPT can provide valuable suggestions and even generate entire pieces of content. See, that was Chat GPT telling me precisely what I needed to know. But also a little robotic in certain ways. There are ways I can make it more humanised with extra prompts, which I have done at different places in this blog, but the overriding rule of using Chat GPT for blog writing and social media posts is everything has to be checked. Leverage AI is more about using it correctly then making a square peg fit a round hole.

Thinking of it from a marketing perspective.

From a marketer’s perspective, using Chat GPT is like having an AI-powered writing assistant at your fingertips. It can help you overcome writer’s block, offer creative ideas, and provide a fresh perspective on your marketing content and if you trust the process, write the blog; or social media posts. Trust me. Previously a blog took me several hours to think of what to write, the structure of that blog and the main talking point that i needed to cover. Now I can do it in half the time.

But let’s address the elephant in the room, about trusting the process. Can AI really write content that captures the essence of your brand and connects with your audience? Can Chat GPT write blogs that Google likes? Can Chat GPT create content that your users will love? We’ll, while AI has its limitations, it has shown remarkable progress in understanding human language and generating coherent and relevant text.

But just like an intern, it requires input and oversight. You wouldn’t hire someone that didnt know your business and ask them to write blogs, social media posts, sales collateral and other marketing material without knowing more about you. Your tone, your voice, what your brand message was. So much of that underlying information that allows readers to connect to your brand. Chat GPT needs the same. Carefully designed prompts to get the most out of it, and then when you think you have it right, the blog still needs to be checked. Too many people post unchecked content on their website that is bland, unreadable and, ultimately, bad for your website.

Moving forward with AI

Since ChatGPT, several others have come to marketing, either using ChatGPT’s API or their own, such as DeepMind, Anthropic, Stability AI and MidJourney. Because of the rise of Machine learning, the pace at which AI has moved on is both alarming and exciting. From text, to code, to image and the creation of voices overs from stored voices. I’ve recently seen add-on tools that can splice up video in Premiere Pro. 2024 is going to be an exciting year for AI.

Leverage AI with ChatBots

For me, the biggest change going forward in small-scale marketing will be in chatbots. Previously we had apps such as ManyChat that allow us to prompt the user with questions and generate pre-written responses based on their response or by looking for certain keywords in their reply. Like the automated messages, you get when stuck on a voicemail loop to a big company. ‘ Please say what it is you’re looking for today’, {answer} ‘Was that customer services’. I don’t know about you, but they are really annoying. ManyChat kind of works the same. But with AI powered chatbots, we’re seeing more creative and personalised responses from user prompts; and it’s only going to get better.

With it, for your business, you’ll be able to control

  • Efficiency: AI based chatbots can and will improve handling large volumes of customer queries simultaneously, ensuring swift responses and minimising wait times. This efficiency enables businesses to provide prompt support to their customers, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Consistency: Chatbots deliver consistent responses based on predefined rules and algorithms, ensuring that customers receive accurate and standardised information. This consistency eliminates the potential for human error and enhances the reliability of customer support.
  • 24/7 Availability: With intelligent chatbots, businesses can offer round-the-clock customer support without needing human agents to be always available. Customers can receive assistance whenever needed, even outside regular business hours, increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Scalability: As customer demands fluctuate, chatbots can quickly scale to handle more interactions. Whether during peak periods or sudden surges in inquiries, chatbots can handle the load efficiently, ensuring no customer is left waiting for support.

Marketing Botic CRM

Look, I love AI. And however we feel about it, it is here to stay. Running an agency, I could see the change coming, where AI slowly replaced the need to go and spend thousands with one. So much can soon be done with AI in-house, the way we can leverage AI jhas changed everything. All people need, is the tools to help them do the work. So, I created Marketing Botics. A CRM and all-in-one marketing tool that has AI built in. Look, I can’t take all the credit. I’m one man, with a small team working out of a small office in the middle of South Yorkshire. I appreciate the need to have a highly adaptive team consistently working on updates and changes, so I reached out to Go HighLevel for that support.

When it comes to having a tool that can leverage AI for marketing, Marketing Botic CRM is that tool. My innovative platform harnesses artificial intelligence’s power to revolutionise how businesses interact with their customers, and the best thing is that it’s constantly developing.

AI as an Invaluable Asset to Leverage AI and Enhance Marketing Efforts

As we’ve explored the transformative power of AI in marketing in this blog, I hope it has become clear that leveraging AI is essential for businesses aiming to enhance their marketing efforts and achieve sustainable growth. Integrating AI into marketing strategies brings a multitude of benefits, revolutionising the way businesses engage with their audiences and drive results.

1. Efficiency: AI-powered tools and platforms automate repetitive tasks, saving time and resources. From data analysis and campaign optimisation to content generation and social media scheduling, AI streamlines processes, enabling marketing teams to focus on high-value activities.

2. Personalisation: AI enables businesses to deliver highly personalised experiences to their target audience. By leveraging data insights and machine learning algorithms, AI can analyse customer behaviour, preferences, and purchase history to tailor marketing messages and recommendations. This level of personalisation enhances engagement and builds stronger customer relationships.

3. Improved Customer Experiences: Intelligent chatbots, powered by AI, provide efficient and round-the-clock customer support. These chatbots can intelligently respond to customer queries, provide accurate information, and guide customers through their buying journey. This leads to faster response times, enhanced customer satisfaction, and increased loyalty.

Integrating AI into marketing strategies is no longer a luxury but a necessity for businesses.

AI empowers businesses to analyse vast amounts of data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. As I write this Chat GPT is still struggling to learn from new data, prioritising data that it collected over the five years it was being developed. But I don’t expect it to be long before it can. Although Bard, Google’s version can more easily see new information, it is not without its issues. But I expect great things to come.

With AI’s ability to automate tasks, personalise interactions, and improve customer experiences, it’s clear that businesses that embrace AI gain a competitive edge in today’s dynamic market. They can truely leverage AI for thier own growth.
